Enemies Galore (and the Title Revealed!)

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since our last blog post, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy with our upcoming game, Seafoam Empress (We decided Athena the Valkyrie-Mermaid and her Froggy Steed might be too much of a mouthful).

We also wanted to take this opportunity to reveal some more enemies, as well as the concept sketches that led to their development.

The Crab Walker, which is a crab that (you guessed it) walks. They’ll be spotted scampering along seafloors, walls, ceilings, practically any surface!

fatfish_concept The Fatfish (har har). An obese, erudite catfish that has a penchant for getting in our heroine’s way, blocking pathways unless it can be moved.

The Spitting Tree. A stationary terrestrial enemy that spits fruity projectiles at our heroine. (Is that a demonic squirrel residing within? Who knows! I certainly don't.)

And last but not least, a ghostly disembodied head of the Diver. Who knew deep-sea diver helmets would make such great jack-o-lanterns!

It looks like Athena’s rogue gallery of enemies is quite menacing in its biodiversity. The only rational course of action: mercilessly eliminate all of them by violently hurling nautilus shells in their general direction. Obviously.

We’ll be posting more exciting things in the near future, so watch this space!
